At PXA, we’ve decided to turn our social media growth into something that actually grows. Novel concept, we know.
For every new follower we’ve gained since January, we’ve planted a tree through our brilliant partners at Carma. That’s 60 trees and counting as of March. Not quite a forest yet, but Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither was Sherwood.
Why Trees?
Why Not Just More Content About Our Amazing Agency?
Fair question. While we could continue filling your feeds with our usual witty banter and stellar work (which we will, don’t worry), we thought it might be nice to fill the planet with some oxygen as well.
Trees are rather brilliant, you see. They:
- Capture carbon dioxide (that pesky greenhouse gas)
- Provide habitats for wildlife
- Look quite nice in photos
- Don't ask for pay rises or holiday time

Here’s where it gets properly exciting – we’re not just telling you we’re planting trees. We can show you exactly where they’re going.
Thanks to Carma’s brilliant interactive map, you can see precisely where your follow has made a difference. Zoom in, explore, and feel smug about your contribution to making the planet a bit less doomed. It’s like Google Earth, but with a purpose beyond checking if your neighbour’s extension is bigger than yours. Every dot represents a real tree in a real place that will be there for decades to come. That’s more lasting impact than that Instagram story you posted yesterday.

For every new follower, we’ll plant another tree. You press a button, we plant a tree. Quite possibly the easiest environmental activism you’ll ever do.
